Saint Columban

Schedule for Mar 1 through Mar 9 Liturgical Minister

Holy Week begins on the weekend of March 15-16.  We will need extra ministers for several of our liturgies.  Since many parishioners go out of town for Easter, please let me know your availability, especially for our Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Vigil liturgies.  Please refer to  www.stcolumban.org home  page for the requests for liturgical ministers during this time. THANK YOU!

SHORTENED SCHEDULE:   This schedule only lists the ministers needed for the first two weeks of March.  I am delaying the publication of the balance of the schedule in order to allow more time for volunteers to notify me that they are available to minister on Palm Sunday and at our Holy Week liturgies.  Holy Week begins on the weekend of March 15-16.  We will need extra ministers for several of our liturgies.  Since many parishioners go out of town for Easter, please let me know your availability, especially for our Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Vigil liturgies.  The balance of the schedule will be published in early March.  Some positions may need to be filled automatically by the computer if sufficient volunteers do not make themselves available.

E-MAIL ADDRESSES:  Thanks to all who have been providing e-mail addresses.  This seems to be very helpful.  I have had several positive comments from ministers who have received the reminder of their assignments.  If I do not already have your e-mail address, please e-mail or phone me with it so that you can be included in the e-mail notifications.  My contact information is as follows: jmiller@stcolumban.org or 513-683-0105 ext 109.

WE NEED MORE USHER/GREETERS:  Please recommend anyone that you feel would be willing to arrive a little early, enthusiastically greet parishioners and visitors as they arrive, guide those approaching the altar for communion, and assist in the passing out of bulletins after Mass.  We need at least six Usher/Greeters at each liturgy.  We need families as well as individuals for this important ministry.

ALL MINISTERS:  Please help us to maintain an adequate number of ministers at all liturgies.  If you see that someone is missing from their assignment, please volunteer to take their place.  We need each one of you.  There should never be a time when we are missing ministers.
Our Liturgical Ministers’ schedule is available on our web site  www.stcolumban.org under the heading of “Minister Schedule.”  Please note that it is necessary that any requests for a change in the schedule be received at that the parish office no later than the second Monday of the month. Use the green Minister’s Scheduling Information sheets to indicate times when you will be out of town or otherwise unavailable.

All of you are a gift to us here at St. Columban. Thank you for your involvement in the parish liturgical ministries offered here.
