Forum: Strengthsfinder,
Carol Carlin & Cheryl Anne
Carol and
Cheryl, described the program as a book with an online assessment tool that
identifies your personal strengths; work in small groups at subsequent
meetings. 4-5 people have been through
the program. It helps you understand
your top 5 strengths out of 35 descriptions.
It would
take four 90 minute meetings to complete the program and could be done in 4
weeks. Let Julie know if you are
interested in participating and what time constraints you might have over the
next 2 months (early summer?).
Approval

and double check time frames.
Sub-committee
Reports:
Jared’s Law - Clark Buck. Inspection has been done by outside
person. They are working on a priority
list (i.e. chemicals in building...., need a sink in Jr High science room,
heading towards Tile floors, repairs to exterior concrete.....)
Health & Wellness - Ralph Maresco. Bobcat paws are completed on paved
areas. Tracking BMI in 3rd grade. Festival booth is out for this year. Patty and Molly are working with festival
committee to have a family fun run/walk at the festival, length to be
determined.
EC/Faith Formation Objectives - Amy Maricocchi. No new news.
Kindergarten -- Jo Rhoten. A wall mural is being custom painted (and donated) by a grandmother in the Parish. Books and supplies are coming in. Furniture has not been ordered yet as the new teacher is finalizing list and will order soon.Foreign Language - Dave Volk. Survey is complete with strong support for a
Language program. Jo Rhoten states that
no curriculum exists at the Archdiocese level for grade schools. This responsibility would fall back onto us. 300 minutes a week for Gym, Art, Music, and
Health are required by Archdiocese. They recommend 75 minutes of Language per
week if there is a program. Jo reviewed
the accounting of a donation made a few years ago to get a foreign language
program underway, as requested by the donating family. Money was seed money to create a language
program. Foreign Language Committee will
continue to meet.
Playground - Julie Batsch. Group has reached its financial goals. Equipment order is being finalized and
construction should start June 23rd and should be finished by August 1st.
