Adults Volunteers Needed!

          In order for VBS to run successfully, many volunteers are needed throughout the week. Please check the list and see where you can help!

Circus Opportunities:

          If you volunteer all week, subtract $10.00 from your total bill.  If you would like to chair a specific committee, please write CH on the line!

 

____Circus Helper: Put me at any group where help is need on the days I requested!

_____Decorating Committee: Help decorate the campus with a circus theme.  Prepare things before hand at home, and help set-up and tear down before and after VBS in the evenings.

____Troupe Leader:  Responsible for guiding a small group of troupers through the daily activities, leading group-building activities with your troupe, which will all be provided, and reinforcing the daily theme and story. You may choose younger Ages 4-Kindergatner or older classes-1-grade 5. You must be present all week!

____Troupe Leader Aide:  Responsible for helping with a class and helping the leader of that group.

____Pre-Troupe Leader: Work with the three years old in a modified program where they will not visit the stations but do more activities together in their room with less structure.  The classroom will be set up everyday for you as well as all the activities planned and prepared each day.  Must be present all week.

____Trapeze Treats:  This group will be responsible for selecting the snacks (suggestions provided), purchase the snacks, and serve them Mon. - Thurs.

____Circus Crafts:  This group will be responsible for selecting the crafts Suggestions provided), do any prep work required, and introducing the craft and directions to each group Mon. Thurs.

____Run & Fun Games: This group will choose games and activities, secure necessary supplies, and run the games for each group when they come to your station Mon.-Thurs.  You should feel comfortable organizing groups of children and giving directions for games.

____Drama Queen Committee: Help with the story each day as it is performed for the children.  Lead the songs.

____Intermission (recess):  A person to get out the recess equipment everyday and supervise children during a 10-15 minute recess Mon. - Thurs.  Helpers will be provided.

____Volunteer Coordinator: Organize the 50+ aides that volunteer to help during VBS.

_____First Aid Station: People with First aid experience or nursing experience to handle any first aid problems that might happen during VBS. 

_____Babysitting: Offered on two days to help those with small children. This group will work with “teen helpers” and watch children under the age of two in the parish Nursery.

_____Friday Night Dinner:  This group will plan the Friday night dinner, purchase the food, organize a chart for families to sign up, and be responsible for preparing the dinner and serving the food on Friday night, 6:00 pm.

____Circus Photos: responsible for taking pictures throughout the week and possibly of each class.  Digital camera required or can use the Parish camera.

____Service Committee: This group will look at different organizations and choose one or two to support during VBS.  They will collect the items and distribute them to the organization.

____Hospitality: Call families who volunteered to send in baked goods and drinks and put out snacks for the teachers and aides each day.
