St. Columban and Good Shepherd Church have joined together to provide a retreat for all 7th and 8th grade students from both public and private schools.  It is held overnight at Camp Joy in January and the topic changes from year to year.  The retreat is led by a team of high school students and adults who have been trained in small group facilitation, leading icebreakers and giving witness talks.  The weekend gives junior high students a break from their busy lives as well as provides them with a spiritual experience in which they can deepen their faith and grow in Christ's love.  For more information contact Leslie Caulfield at the parish office.

Annual SMILE Retreat

St. Columban has a long tradition of High School SMILE retreats.  Each year a theme is chosen with a song; and a team of leaders who plan and implement the retreat spend countless hours developing a retreat that will influence the lives of those who attend in some tremendous way.
Last year the retreat theme was "I am..." where we explored who we are, who our friends are and how God fits into our lives.  The song was I Am The Way by Mark Schultz and each witness talk that was given was based off a line in the song.
This year our theme is Discipleship and the retreat will be held December 5-7 at Camp Kirkwood.  For more information contact Leslie Caulfield at the Parish Office or click here.  Registration is due by Sunday, November 16, 2003.
