St. Columban Youth Groups

St. Columban’s Youth Group ministry is up and running!  It is our intent to organize the group focusing on the 3 ways we want to grow: spiritually, socially, and in service to others.  Our Jr. High Group will have several high profile events during the year.  Typically, each event will be based on one or more of our three tenets, spirituality, service, and social.  The Jr. High events will support parish relegious education programs.  This group is run by and for the parish junior high school youth with some help from adult members of our Youth Advisory Council.  This group is open to all parish junior high schoolers, no matter which school they attend.  Please be on the look-out for our events, or call the parish office for more information.  You can also talk to any of the members of the Youth Advisory Council: Dustan Bray, Cissy Eyre, Tom and Tricia Gries, Lisa Hiliker, Amy Maricocchi, Stefanie McKelvey, Scott Mussari, Vincente and Jannette Santamarina.  All are welcome!

JUNIOR HIGH YOUTH GROUP ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Junior High Youth Group had a great start this past Saturday October 29, 2011with the Halloween Bash! The band was great. The decorations were terrific.  The treats were delicious, and hopefully everyone had fun!  Thanks to all of the junior high students who attended and all of the parents who helped make it happen.  Thanks to the Parish Office for your support and assistance.  Our next event will be on Saturday December 10th.  It will be an opportunity to package food with an organization called Kids Against Hunger. This food will then be sent to starving people all over the world.  It’s a great opportunity to get involved and help make a difference.
