A Worshipping community Since 1859. St. Columban Parish is a Catholic community that follows the Word and Work of Jesus Christ through discipleship, stewardship, and fellowship. It is an understatement to say that our parish has grown significantly since the 1850s, when we were a mission church of St. Andrew in Milford. We have changed, as has the Church universal. Many though we are, we are one body in Christ. We reflect the plurality of our larger church community. Some of us have been here a long time; others have been here a short time. Like the Church throughout the world, we are many but one; like the image of St. Columban in our worship space, we are unfinished. “There is always more to be done – by a prophet, or a painter, or by a parish."

 Why Catholic?

Journey through the Catechism and come to know your faith and connect it with your daily life. This is a great way to meet others and experience a small group community. Watch the bulletin for the next session or contact Scott Mussari at the Parish Office: 683-0105.

 Why Catholic? Is Back Minimize

The Why Catholic? Program will begin again the week of October 4, and there is still time for you to be a part of this amazing faith forming experience.  This program is based on Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church in a relaxed but spiritual environment.  It offers a solid approach to help adults deepen their faith and apply Catholic teachings to their everyday lives in a prayerful and welcoming small group setting.  This year’s theme is “What We Believe” and explores topics such as the Trinity, the Paschal Mystery, everlasting life and many others.

For those of you who were active in a small group this past fall, your facilitator should be contacting you again soon.  For those of you who would like to join this upcoming 6-week session, there is always room for new participants.  Simply contact Scott in the Parish Office at 683-0105 to sign up or for more information.
