PREPARE FOR THE ROMAN MISSAL
Advent 2011 will be truly special in the United States with the adoption of the new translation of the Roman Missal. There are wonderful resources to help prepare for this big change, now including a new podcast featuring an interview with Archbishop Schnurr.
ARE YOU READY FOR THE ARRIVAL OF THE REVISED ROMAN MISSAL?
You may have heard that we’ll be making some changes in the words we sing and say at Mass. Musical changes will begin in September, and the texts that we recite together will change at the end of November.

These sessions have been designed to give information about the revision of the Roman Missal, but they’re about much more than learning “new words.” The upcoming text changes present us with an excellent opportunity to take some time to reflect on the structure and meaning of the Mass that we celebrate week after week, year after year. What does it mean to gather together on Sunday, sing together, pray together, receive the Body and Blood of Christ, be sent forth for mission? What effect does this (or should
this) have in our daily lives? The sessions will include time for discussion and for your questions. Each set of five sessions will be offered in the sequence listed above, on a variety of days and times – some in the morning and some in the evening.
