A Worshipping community Since 1859. St. Columban Parish is a Catholic community that follows the Word and Work of Jesus Christ through discipleship, stewardship, and fellowship. It is an understatement to say that our parish has grown significantly since the 1850s, when we were a mission church of St. Andrew in Milford. We have changed, as has the Church universal. Many though we are, we are one body in Christ. We reflect the plurality of our larger church community. Some of us have been here a long time; others have been here a short time. Like the Church throughout the world, we are many but one; like the image of St. Columban in our worship space, we are unfinished. “There is always more to be done – by a prophet, or a painter, or by a parish."

Social Action Commission Minutes

The Social Action survey was distributed to all ministries involved in social justice, including the school. Its purpose is to "Summarize, communicate, celebrate, and accelerate the Justice and Social Action efforts of the Parish." An updated Minsitry pamphlet is in progress! Look for more information! Read this and more in the November 2011 Social Action Minutes. (pdf)

A Candidates' Forum to be used as "Faithful Citizenship" was explored at the August 23 Meeting. Concerns were expressed therefore an assignment task was given. More information will follow. To learn more, please check out the August 2011 Social Action Minutes. (pd)
