Faith Formation Meeting - May 4, 2010
Meeting opened with prayer and faith sharing
- Maria informed the Faith Formation Commission (FFC) that she has resigned her position as Director of Youth Ministry. Discussion followed of the wording of an advertisement to be used in searching for a replacement. Maria was asked what the FFC can do to be of assistance to the next person who would fill this role, and she responded to continue to support them and youth ministry.
- Discussion of how Stewardship Commission will be giving a renewed energy and attention to the Strengthfinders program. FFC commented that an emphasis on identifying opportunities within the parish where persons can best use their strengths they have just been informed they have would be helpful. In other words, for participants to be assisted more in the Strengthfinders process in connecting their specific strengths with existing needs in the parish.
- It was decided that FFC is unable to run an entire booth at the festival because all of the members already volunteer at other booths. Festival Committee will be responsible for running the Teen Tent. FFC would again create a faith formation themed basket for the bid-n-buy booth.
